About Us
BellaSardinia.com is a trading name of John Gardner, operating as a sole trader. BellaSardinia (beautiful Sardinia), is operated by John from Newcastle upon Tyne, England with a little help from his wife Maria from Sardinia, Italy. We both share a passion for travel and love Sardinia. Our aim is to provide an attractive alternative to mass market holidays, to move away from the crowded, summertime hotspots and introduce our guests to the local face of Sardinia, where you will encounter the real culture, sights, smells and sounds of the island.
We accept responsibility for the quality of the product we provide and offer a more knowledgeable and personalised service. We genuinely care about your holiday as we are aware of the preciousness of this time for you. Just like you, we want everything to run smoothly, and this is why we dedicate so much time and attention to your holiday preparation.
Although our preferred method of communication is by email, we would still like to speak to you personally if you would prefer to discuss your holiday or plan a tailor-made tour over the phone. It is for this reason we offer a free ring back service.

John was born and raised in Whitley Bay, near Newcastle upon Tyne, England and graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a Masters degree in International Hospitality Management. He has a B.A. Honours degree in Leisure Management from Coventry University Business School. He speaks English and is learning Italian! He remains in the UK to manage the UK office but pops over to Sardinia at every available opportunity.

Maria is our native Sardinian. She was born and raised in Sardinia, Italy and graduated from Sheffield Hallam University (England) with a Masters degree in International Tourism Management. She has a degree in Foreign Languages and speaks Italian, English, French, German and Spanish. She has maintained strong links to her native Sardinia and has returned to Sardinia after spending time working abroad to look after the Sardinian end of our operation.

“I am a keen and curious explorer and adore the diversity of the people and the landscape of my homeland. I am interested in the culture, customs, traditions and folklore of the island and love spending time at the various traditional festivals, exhibitions and artisans’ workshops...rather than being in an office! I support all forms of sustainable tourism that benefit the destination territory and community. I believe in a “no rush” travel philosophy, especially when it comes to sampling the wonderful food and wine of the island.
